So apparently 2K took a gander through their list of patents. It would seem they discovered a patent they put through in 1999 that covers any entity attempting a hostile takeover of 2K. 2K took this opportunity to file a suit against EA.
In an ironic turn of events 2K now owns EA.

Seriously though, all this DLC crap is getting out of hand. Being able to download updates and extras ought to take games forward, give us more complete and fulfilling games, not take games backwards by giving us buggy half games we have to buy the rest of and update as they make them.

I already cancelled a pre-order and anyone who cares about gaming should too. Why ? because EA Is the biggest publisher and if they get away with this the future will look like this $59.99 – core retail game, extra money for more creatures in spore perhaps, weapons, maps etc… this is B.S. The DLC Idea is really getting out of control…

Hey guys, I just want to say that I think this is the greatest thing I’ve seen on a gaming blog and am definitely going to boycott this game. I’d also like to say that I support you guys sticking it to other sites that don’t give you credit I am now off to listen to the podcast.
