Halo Reach Pics Leaked.

November 5th, 2009 · 23 Comments

Halo Reach. Perhaps the last Bungie-made Halo game ever. Our last, best hope at a coherent narrative. Whatever your take on the next Halo game, very little is known about the game. Is it a squad based shooter? Is it something altogether different?
I don’t know, but I’ve got seven screen caps of it, after the [...]

Halo Reach to abandon multiplayer roots?

October 4th, 2009 · 34 Comments

Halo Reach is the next and supposedly last Halo game made by Bungie. Slated for next fall, this Halo tale, if Wikipedia serves me well, should feature or at least end with the Fall of Reach and feature some massive battles filled with more than just one Spartan. This fact alone has the fanboys [...]

Why price matters in reviewing Halo 3: ODST

September 23rd, 2009 · 77 Comments

Video game reviews are very subjective. I get that. Different people have different ideas about what makes a game good and worthy of your hard earned dollar. For some reviewers, a game’s price shouldn’t factor into it. For those people, the merits of the game should stand on its own before ever discussing price.
Well, those [...]

Twitter: John-117

April 17th, 2009 · 7 Comments

It’s Friday, and that means another gaming Twitter. However, we’re off into about 500 years in the future – where, yes, Twitter still exists but is run by a conglomerate of aliens, the Walmart corporation and the reanimated corpse of Lyndon Johnson…it’s a long story – where, through the medium of microblogging, a United Nations [...]

December 4th, 2008 · 18 Comments

Boy, that didn’t take long.  After enjoying an incredible 2 weeks atop the Xbox Live “Most played” list, Gears 2 has been knocked the f*** out by Bungie’s Halo Jesus.  I can’t believe it.  I am stunned.  I just called my mom in Tennessee and she couldn’t believe it either.
That’s all she wrote folks.  Doctor [...]

September 26th, 2008 · 9 Comments

Fresh off their highly-successful countdown to a title update for Halo 3, Bungie announced this morning that they will begin putting up countdowns and nonsensical dialogue to hype up everything in sight.
“If countdowns and nonsense leading up to a simple title update can make it special and important,” said one Bungie insider, “Why not bring [...]

What is ‘Halo Mythic’?

August 31st, 2008 · 12 Comments

The good folks over at Addicted Gamer have snapped a screenshot of something called ‘Halo Mythic’ at this year’s PAX. In the screenshot (available above) the version number is v1.2 (yet Halo 3 is currently on v1.1) and there was no campaign option in the menu, only multiplayer.
Fishy huh?

Halo 3 Developer has his Xbox Live Account Hacked

August 29th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Have you ever wanted to set your head on fire? That may seem like a bit of a strange question, but, as you may well know, all Bungie staff receive a flaming helmet in Halo 3 as an ultra-exclusive thank you for working on the game. Going back to my original question, it appears as [...]
