Sarcastic Gamer Memo Date: 11/8/2007 To: Game Publishers From: Volkov Regarding: Stop producing games until further notice
Hey ass-hats, you think you’re so smart, don’t you? Just release all the good PC games in a three month time span and no one will notice, right? For the previous two years or so, you’ve been sleeping on the job. Now, the market is flooded, and my hard drive is at maximum capacity. Thanks. Thanks a lot.
These are just computer games. If you’re an analog stick tweaker, take the backseat for this one.
Add Crysis onto the pile (assuming it doesn’t pull a Far Cry*), and I’ll have to start deleting family photo albums to make room.
*Pulling a Far Cry is the act of hyping a game with tech demos, and forgetting to put substance in between the graphics.
We realized something during our World in Conflict Bathroom Art contest: The prize for for this contest SHOULD have included art lessons. (Hey! I’m just sayin!)
We’d love to be able to send you ALL a copy of the PC Blockbuster, World in Conflict, but the rules are the rules. As I write this, the Sarcastic Gamer staff is arguing bitterly behind the scenes to crown a grand prize winner, first prize winner, and a runner up.
Keep in mind that the Grand Prize winner, will get a Limited Collector’s Edition of World in Conflict for the PC, while the second place winner gets the regular retail version.
The winners MUST listen to Episode 10 of the Sarcastic Gamer Podcast on October 1st, to get their “redemption code”. They mus then email that code to us before noon on October 2nd. If they don’t the first prize winner will get promoted to Grand Prize, and the runner-up gets the retail copy.
Enjoy the pics.
Greg Goodrich has already agreed to hang the winning picture in his bathroom, so there’s SOMETHING to feel good about.

You have less than 24 hours to draw a little picture for Sierra’s Greg Goodrich, and win your own FREE copy of World in Conflict. (Collector’s Edition)
Critics are raving, calling Episode 9 of the Sarcastic Gamer Podcast “Audible” and “Not as bad as I thought it would be”. Find out why dozens of people are listening to Sarcastic Gamer dot com each week! C’mon! Get the podcast!
Guess what arrived on my front porch this morning?
If you guessed a retail copy of the brand new RTS blockbuster, World in Conflict, you’re only HALF right!
My wife called to tell me that VP and Executive Producer Greg Goodrich and his team at Sierra sent us two copies of World in Conflict. (a) The retail version, and (b) the BEAUTIFUL Collector’s Edition. While my first inclination was to make myself vomit on boss’s desk, leave early, drive 200mph towards home, and play the game until I collapsed, three thoughts occurred to me:
I left the sprinkler on this morning.
I already pre-ordered the game (paid in full)
Our Sarcastic Gamer Community deserves to feel the exhilaration that one experiences when one of THESE bad boys goes off.
So, after apologizing to my boss, and helping the janitor clean up the mess, I am here to give it away. Here’s how we’re going to do it.
It’s no secret that Greg Goodrich, reads Sarcastic Gamer every morning while “dropping kids off at the pool”, (seriously, he has broadband next to his throne). We are so honored to be a part of this portion of his daily life, that we’d like you guys to draw a picture for Greg to hang in his high-tech-head. Be sure that whatever you draw, reminds Greg to “LOG” on to Sarcastic Gamer every morning. Our logo is above.
You MUST DRAW. No photos. Even our logo, should be drawn by you. Whether made by hand or in an editor, whatever you submit MUST be 100% YOUR WORK.
One entry per person, please.
The BEST entry, as judged by the Sarcastic Gamer staff, will receive the GORGEOUS World in Conflict Collector’s Edition that comes with an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall! Seriously! I promise not to open it.
The runner up will also get the game, in it’s retail form. (Sorry no chunks of famous landmarks included)
TO WIN, you MUST post a link to your picture on THIS FORUM THREAD. If you aren’t a member of the forums, you can join HERE for free.
THERE IS A CATCH.
The winner and runner-up MUST listen for their name on the October 1st Sarcastic Gamer Podcast, and email us within 24 hours with the code that we will give out on that show. If you don’t, we’ll give the prize to an alternate.
SO get out your crayons, fire up photoshop, and get to work. We have a bathroom to decorate people! The deadline is Thursday, September 27th at noon (Central US).
Boy are you guys lucky I already pre-ordered this game.
Reminder, this is the PC version of WiC. The Xbox 360 version is due out in March.
