A good friend of mine, Brent Davis, just released a short film that he wrote, directed, and produced. It’s called “Palster.”
Just when you thought it was safe to network socially, along comes this tale of mystery, intrigue, sex, and betrayal. Many of you might remember Brent from the Redneck Christmas Carol that we released in our Christmas episode of the podcast. He played Bob Harley, among other roles, in that piece and produced the piece with incredible attention to detail. Now he’s back with this hysterical and disturbing short film. Enjoy “Palster” and be sure to use the links below to Digg it, Stumble it, and email it to a friend. Palster is dedicated to the late Price McKinney.
Ok, so I know we’re all going COD 4 crazy around here. However, if you’re at all excited about seeing any of these three games in action, I highly recommend you watch the newest episode of the 1up Show.
They do a great job showcasing why these three games are awesome, in case you didn’t already know!
We all know that I love free stuff, especially game swag. Well, I guess it’s my lucky day because I got an email from our friends over at Activision letting me know about an upcoming swag fest. I’m sure that you all love swag as much I do, so, I’m going to share the information. Saturday November 16th to Sunday the 18th go to XBL to win.
Register and Play COD4: Modern Warfare on Xbox LIVE during the weekend and win an Xbox 360 Elite, Infinity Ward team autographed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare swag, limited edition Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare faceplates, Xbox 360 accessories, Microsoft Points and other great Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare prizes. There will be one winner for every hour that weekend (72 hours) as well as the grand prize which includes the Elite, autograph swag, faceplate and accessories. (The hourly winners get Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare poster, t-shirt, and MS Points.)
Go pick up COD4 and battle for your chance to get swag. I know that I’ll be there.
Gametrailers.com has produced three mini-documentaries about Timeshift. At first I tossed this game up to “just another shooter” with a “time gimmick.” However, after checking out these videos, I can see the game is so much more.
They offer the mini-documentaries in HD download form as well, so if you have your 360’s or PS3’s streaming set up, it looks even better on your HD tv.
I want the PS3 to succeed, I really do. This might finally be a good step in the right direction. It’s called Folklore, and IGN has a pretty cool looking Video Review of it. I don’t know if it’s a system seller, but a few more games at least this good, and that might be enough for me!
Are you one of those geeks who always wanted to hang with the popular kids? Well Nintendo is granting that wish for free! Just fill out a survey of the new Zelda game, Phantom Hourglass, and they’ll ship you a Feather Pen stylus. With something has cool as this, you’ll be committing minor acts of vandalism and going to underage drinking parties in no time.

Team Tiger Awesome has created something of a masterpiece with Halo Nights.
The production value speaks for itself and the premise is quite original. Pile on top of that, a heaping helping of boy bands, and out-of-shape dancers, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for comedy. After you chuckle your way through this, check out their other hysterical offerings, over at http://teamtigerawesome.com/. Before some of you critical types start to say these guys can’t dance. Duh. That’s the point.

If you’re at all interested in Metal Gear Solid 4, check out the latest episode of the 1UP Show. They’re in Japan for the Tokyo Game Show and got to see and play the game first hand. One of the reasons I really like these guys is because they give you great insight into what the games are really like. For example, they explain how the new PS3 rumble is more in “3d.” Check them out!
This game looks amazing. the graphics are so…. life like. Best part for me is that I don’t need a new graphics card to run it. Gonna try this one right away!
This vid has been around a while, but it’s still beautiful. I can’t wait to get my hands on the fruits of this labor. Friggin’ gorgeous game engine. In case you missed it.
