I’d love to say that this Non-Review is the usual sort of Non-Review where it’s really a nicely-written analysis of a game and I say what I like and don’t like about the game. In the case of Linger In Shadows, the new piece of, uh, software on the PlayStation Store, this really isn’t a review of a game, because there is no game to review.
Non-Review after the break.

The problem with giving powerful tools to people is that some people are… well, let’s not sugar coat it… some people are asshats. When you give a typical person the tools available in LittleBigPlanet, you might get a recreation of a classic Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog level, but now that people have had the LBP beta in their hands for a while and gotten used to the tools, the attention seekers out there are having a harder and harder time fulfilling their “Look at me!!!” needs. Thus, we have the “9/11 Simulator” level for LittleBigPlanet where Sackboy flies a jet into a skyscraper and blows it up.
Is this what we really need? (Video after jump…)

WipEout HD is WipEout, that futuristic anti-grav PSone classic renowned for being really bloody hard, except in high definition. Sort of. I mean, it’s not exactly the same with the same things as the original game, but it plays like the original but this isn’t really a bad thing, since it’s a marvelous game indeed.
Anyway, I’m digressing. NonReview, with a lovely Flickr slideshow, after the jump.

Oh look, I’ve got one thing I can use on my PS3 without being told that I need to deactivate another console. That would be Life With PlayStation 1.0, otherwise known as “Folding@Home 2.0 with some news and weather stuff thrown in”.
My impressions, after the jump.

The folks over at PS3 Fanboy have stumbled upon what could be the first attempt at phishing PlayStation Network accounts, in the form of a website called the “Home Beta Injector” which claims to grant instant access to those who enter their PSN account details.
Beware of the scam, and beware of the jump! Okay, not really, but just give us your account number, sort code and mother’s maiden name and you’ll be fine.

Well, we have the answer! Well, no, we know a website that has the answer.
The chances are you do too but if not, that answer’s waiting for you after the jump, along with some more SOCOM news.

I’m not one for being on time with game reviews. My LEGO Indiana Jones review was about a month late (along with Soulcalibur IV’s) so as you can guess my timing is hardly impeccable. Still, might as well crack on with the newest review and not dilly-dally.
Today’s review is of PSN collect-em-up-with-an-edge The Last Guy. And it’s probably the last one to be done of the game too, such is the promptness of my timing, but let’s move on swiftly.
The review, after the jump.

Golf seems like a pretty a relaxing sport. I don’t hit the links too often, but I have seen it played on television. I did play once, but I spent more time slugging brews and driving the cart than I did swinging a club. However, I assume that if it can be played by senior citizens, it can’t be too strenuous.
Unfortunately, we Americans despise any form of exercise. For many, walking from the cart to the tee would be an arduous task. Luckily, for us burger-loving Americans, the sport can be played from the comfort of our living rooms. The only problem is that I find virtual golf to be as exciting as smacking myself in the face with a rubber mallet.
However, even I got excited when Sony revealed the newest addition to the “Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds” roster. (more…)
