GTA V City finalists announced!

With Grand Theft Auto IV breaking records and taking names, Rockstar has decided that before EA commits it’s hostile take over, they had better get started on GTA V. I’m sure they believe, as we all do, that if Rockstar doesn’t get going on GTA V, they could find GTA IV being re-released without an I. Nobody wants that.

The first order of business is to find a city. They’ve already done New York, LA, Vegas, San Fransisco and Miami, so it’s time to think about a change of scenery. This month, Rockstar will be sending out a team of “specialists” to evaluate a list of cities. An inside source with Rockstar cited, on the condition of anonymity, that the cities would be chosen for their “personality and exotic nature.”

Xbox Live to attack racism head-on

The public outcry over the seemingly-allowed racist behavior on Xbox Live has finally reached a decibel level that Microsoft cannot ignore. The Xbox Community team reported this morning that MS will take immediate and decisive action against anyone using the online service to spread messages of hate. Find out how after the jump.

The crew at Sarcastic Gamer announced their plans to stop complaining about games, get up, and make one themselves. After years of playing games they have given up on relying on developers and have gone on to produce their own game that they believe will be better than any other out there.

New X-rated mod discovered in GTA IV

Those clever hackers have done it again! Hacker group VladsBoys’ analysis of the pirated copy of GTA IV for the 360 (leaked days before retail release) has reeled in a big one. The cyber-sleuths knew they were on the trail of something big and yes, you guessed it, they found another never-intended-for-retail-consumption chunk of code in a GTA game.

Liberty City PD on Strike!

As violence continues to rock Liberty City, as one of the worst crime waves in history descends upon the metropolis, the seemingly infinite ranks of the Liberty City Police Department have announced a strike, effective immediately. At issue, weapons.

“We feel we are outgunned every time we pull up to a disturbance,” said one officer who spoke with us under the condition of anonymity. “It wasn’t an issue until earlier this week. But all the sudden everyone’s got assault rifles and RPG’s. We just feel silly trying to suppress that kind of firepower with a pistol or a shotgun.”

First GTA IV Patch is out!

While many people were enjoying GTA IV this week, some seemed less than thrilled with the game. After much complaining about the difficulty of driving and flying helicopters during the days that followed the release of GTA IV, Rockstar Games has issued it’s first patch.
