Okay, read that title again. Yup, we’ve seen speculation like this before but it looks like Microsoft has potentially let the dog out of the bag with regards to when and where Halo 4 is making an appearance. Could happen a lot quicker than you expected.
More on this after the jump (which still needs a new name. Any suggestions? Email me at yamster[at]sarcasticgamer[dot]com, especially if they’re rude).
Back in February Mr. Gearbox himself, Randy Pitchford, put a post up on the Gearbox forums describing his new project as “big. It’s, like, look-at-our-line-up-and-imagine-something-even-bigger kind of big.” and confirming that he himself will be heading the project.
Ok, so what could be bigger than Gearbox’s current line up of Borderlands, Samba de Amigo and Aliens: Colonial Marines? Um…a chicken club sandwich? An elephant? No, not big enough. How about Mount Everest? No, no wait, I’ve got it! Halo 4. Yeah that fits, and OXM seem to agree with me, if their October Issue is anything to go by.
Oh well, I’ve got to run. You could come with me if you want, I’m only going over the jump.
I was awoken this morning by a frantic call from Doc, who had just scored our biggest exclusive ever. The announcement that we’d been waiting for. The new Halo game. Bungie’s new Halo game for the Xbox 360.
We were ready to take 11 credibility points from our Halo 4 source, who predicted we would hear about Halo 4 at E3 this year. That gal/guy/thing was really in for it. We really don’t like being wrong.
Turns out… he was right. The announcement got pulled by Mattrick at the last moment.
