Krelith

Name: Krelith (Krel-ith, not kree-lith)
Country: UK
What do you do on the site? Writer
Consoles Owned: PS3 (Backward Compatible), Xbox 360, PC, iPod Touch
Introduce Yourself, go! Hi, I'm Krelith and I'm an alcoholic, a gambler, a glue sniffer and a bear. Oh, and a ninja. OH! And a compulsive liar.In all seriousness though, I'm a 25 year-old self-confessed nerd, with so much time on my hands that I casually express my opinions on a website that doesn't pay me, and two of my fellow countrymen censor everything I say prior to publishing. Editors... more like dictators! But at least they're nice about it, they don't slap us around or anything.... much...
What do you do in your free time? I annoy people with my inane thoughts-come-words, be they spoken or written. I play a lot of games, and drink copious amounts of alcohol at the end of most working weeks with the lads and gals I haven't scared off yet (and I stress YET). I also record my own music under the project name, The Diamond Project. I've made one album and several videos produced by a very talented - and underpaid - director/producer. And that pretty much sums up my highly generic life in a paragraph! Nice.
On a scale of 1 to 895,463, how efficient are you at life? I'm SO efficient at life! I do, however, refuse to quantify it using your crazy scale.

Review of the Reviews of Dragon Age: Origins

November 5th, 2009 · 11 Comments

Welcome to the reintegration of an arguably ancient SG feature, Review of the Reviews. In this feature, we essentially take on Metacritic at their own game, but rather than summarizing every review into a score, we use words. Words are better, right? Better than numbers? I mean, what was the last binary play you went [...]

Eurogamer Expo: My Take On Dragon Age: Origins’ Platform Performances

November 2nd, 2009 · 4 Comments

As I said on our first podcast of the weekend, Dragon Age was one of my more anticipated titles to see and get hands-on with. Well I did get hands-on with it, briefly, for as long as I could stand to keep my eyes on that screen.
You know that feeling you get when you look [...]

See my title? Did you see what I did there? I made a fun-pun. Head over the jump for less puns and more coverage of Splash Damage’s upcoming sci-fi shooter – Brink.

Eurogamer Expo Community Meetup Details – Saturday 31st October

October 30th, 2009 · 1 Comment

This is important. So important in fact, that if Chuck Norris approached you and said, “Hey, the contents of this box I’m holding are REALLY important,” you’d be all like, “No way Mr Norris, this article on SG is more important than your box. Goodbye, and I loved you in Forced Vengeance.”

Three Hours In… ViDeO GaMeS @Eurogamer Expo 2009

October 30th, 2009 · No Comments

Welcome to Eurogamer London, where the games of tomorrow (as well as the games of last month), are playable, and you can’t get anywhere near them because in true gaming fashion, the event organisers have set up what I can only describe as “choke points” throughout the building. Were I a hunter of gaming nerds, [...]

“If You Like Browser-Based Games, You’ll Love This!” – EA. (I made that quote up)

October 22nd, 2009 · 2 Comments

BioWare: “Hello, would you like to play a game we’ve made?”
Krelith: *DROPS PHONE AND RUNS TO NEAREST PC*
That’s the way that conversation would go if it ever happened in real life. Which it hasn’t… YET. Still, there be some news on the ol’ BioWare/Dragon Age front. AND IT INVOLVES A GAME.

SG Review – Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

October 19th, 2009 · 1 Comment

I can sum this whole review up pretty damn easily. This game is HARD. How hard? There’s no option to play an “Easy” or “Casual” difficulty. It’s THAT Hard. Harder than an adamantium erection.
Still interested? Let’s see how hardcore you like it, shall we?
