SG Flix 28.1: Big Red What?

January 26th, 2012 at 3:39 pm · 1 Comment

SG Flix is back with another podcasting masterpiece. In this dose of Sarcastic Gamer’s movie podcast, Jitterbug and Yoshifett rot their brains with Our Idiot Brother, Tron Legacy, The Brick, and Limitless, discuss trailers for Chronicle, Goon, The Dictator and much more. In case you’re wondering why we haven’t accompanied the rest of the staff to their new home, we hope to make that move sometime in the next few weeks.

Check back in a next week because the gang will be discussing The Prophecy.

Feel free to stop by the forums and talk about movies with us.

Here’s the RSS feed.  Leave an iTunes review and subscribe here.  Download the show here.

Regarding TRON Legacy, the reason TRON was such a big hit was because it surfed the wave of an amazing new technology at the time (the personal computer) and used a familiar story line in a new way. Legacy attempted the same using the concept of Genetic Engineering, but lacked the resonance because the coman man isn’t all that aware of genetic engineering at the moment. That and the protagonist was a bit weak.

And Dave, on the BBC Sherlock, he actually has a coke problem but it’s only alluded to and uses a bit of Brittish slang. I didn’t even pick up on it until my lit-geek sister came into town and told me all about it.

Much love, keep up the caste.
