Medal of Honor is out. You’ve read SG’s review. You’re playing the multiplayer, but you’re a bit frustrated… Right? Well, fear not noob, I’m here to give you ten solid tips that may keep you alive long enough to get a kill, raise your rank and kick some OPFOR butt!
Read on!
Here’s my ten tips to keep you alive and kicking ass in Medal of Honor’s multiplayer.
10. In the Combat Mission gametype, you can choose to spawn on the front lines. Use this to your advantage. When assaulting an entrenched enemy, find a good spot close to the objective that’s either hidden from the enemy, or easily defended. Wait about 10 seconds or so and your team will immediately begin spawning on you. You’ll have less ground to cover and you’ll take that difficult objective in no time.
9. The Rifleman Class is the only class that carries smoke grenades. If you’re playing as one, use them when crossing open areas, because if you don’t you’ll get smoked by a sniper. Trust me.
8. As a sniper, you have access to a remote detonated bomb, or an IED as the OPFOR. Place one of these on the objective. When you see an enemy trying to set charges, blow them the hell up.
7. As a Special Ops class, what you lack in range, you make up with in sheer explosive fire power. Use that rocket launcher as your default counter sniper weapon.
6. Use the slug ammo with the Shotgun. One shot to the chest is all it takes to KIA the enemy and you’ll get awesome range out of it as well.
5. The Spec Ops MP7A1 is the best default submachine gun because of its high fire rate and accuracy. Use it over the AK and aim for the head.
4. In Combat Mission, deploying on the front lines may end up getting you killed as soon as you spawn. If you spawn and then immediately die, that means that you’re respawning too far ahead of your team. Or your forward teammate is in a bad spot. Respawn at your base.
3. Always choose UAV over mortar strike after you’ve received your first killstreak, UNLESS a UAV is already up. Mortar Strikes are difficult to get right without UAV help.
2. Don’t forget the TANK! In two of the three Combat Mission Maps, there will be a tank available for your use. It’s crazy, but more often than not, it goes unused. Jump in that behemoth and go kick some ass.
1. Avoid Assault Raid and Sector Control gametypes. They’re spawn camp fests. Stick to Team Assault and Combat Mission until you’ve ranked up a bit and become more familiar with the game.
