Captain Average and I had the chance to visit the Kinect Galleries in Covent Garden, London. The gallery is set up to give the public the chance to play five of the Kinect titles that should be available at launch on November 10th later this year. To see how we got on and more details of how you can visit the gallery yourself (and for your chance to win a prize) join Captain Average and MightyMutt on our very own Kinect Galleries Adventure…

Anyone can visit the Kinect Galleries. You can book a half-hour appointment through Facebook or you can just turn up and wait your turn to have a go on the main stage. Be warned: if you elect to play on the main stage you might draw a crowd! You may want to show off your dancing skills but if not, you can book an appointment ahead of time and can try the games out in the more relaxed environment of the three Xbox lounges, located downstairs. Aside from being a nice recreation of a living room, it’s also a comfy place to sit down and catch your breath in between demos.

Kinect Galleries Competition
Sarcastic Gamer likes to leave our mark where ever we go. This time we took things quite literally. Even though the signing wall is supposed to be for children, we were allowed to leave our mark when we pointed out that we were just big children. Unfortunately, not all of our message came out clearly in the photo (what do you mean it looks like someone Photoshopped part of the message out? Are you questioning my Photoshop skills?). Anyway, thanks to that and our incredibly short-term memories, we can not remember the eloquently worded message we left and need your help in uncovering the mystery.

The first SG forum member to have their photo taken with the complete message will win a prize of the following;
• A Medium sized Splinter Cell Conviction T-shirt
• A free download code for XBL game, The Dishwasher
• 4 x Small Xbox Badges
• A Sarcastic Gamer “…I’ll Blame Doc!” Mousemat
Rules: The first entry to post their photo on the FORUM thread of this article will win the prize. Prizes will be held for a maximum of one month. If for any reason you are incredibly camera-shy I will accept a picture of the complete message with a copy of the front page of that day’s newspaper. Anyone found to be causing a nuisance of themselves in the Kinect gallery will automatically be disqualified from the competition. As always my decision is final…unless I change my mind! Oh and if you ask nicely the staff may let you add your signature to prove you were there. Ask nicely now or they’ll be trouble! We have bothered them quite enough already!

(Above) What? I was told to get hands on with Kinect. Apparently though, a Wiisome was out of the question.
More seriously though, a big thank you to all the staff on hand in the Kinect Galleries, who were all very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
