I have a real problem delegating authority.  I was born under the “if you want something done right, do it yourself” mindset.

Then came the day I realized that I couldn’t do it all and had to lean on others who had the time and ability to carry out basic orders.  Sometimes, you have to let your subordinates attempt to complete whatever task you assign them.  Every once and awhile, those same lieutenants will surprise you with their ingenuity.

In this case, based on past performance, I am assigning a team captain for each Modern Warfare 2 team: TheStonedSheep for the PS3 and Razzlee for the 360.

While I don’t need to explain my decisions, these seemed like logical choices.  TheStonedSheep went undefeated with twelve straight wins in Duelist League aprimarily between with Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, and is a regular on the forums.  That’s as good of a resume as you can get around these here parts.

As for the 360, Razzlee went 2-0 in his matches for Modern Warfare 2 community tryouts.  That’s not awe inspiring like Stoned Sheep’s performance, but he attended both matches and it was his idea to put people in charge of putting the teams together.   I can appreciate that kind of ingenuity; all the different plates I’m trying to spin and keep in the air here between real life and Sarcastic Gamer, I just can’t keep up with it all.

These two team captains have two weeks to put together teams worthy of taking on GTR based teams.  They will be setting up the Gamernights, they will be watching the matches, they will be making the final cuts, and most importantly, they have my full 100% backing.  If they give an order, treat it as it was coming from me.

This does not make them infallible.  They screw up?  They get replaced and go back on the line for someone else to step up if they think they can do better.
