GamerTag Radio has officially withdrawn from this Sunday’s Modern Warfare 2 grudge match against the Sarcastic Gamer staff.

Apparently the icy hand of fear has gripped the hearts of the GTR team, rendering them slow-thumbed, hollow shells compared to the bravado-filled gamers they once were.  Gamer eunuchs (well 4 out of 5), you might say.

Skirmishes between the GTR and SG teams over the past few weeks had raised tensions and solidified animosity.  That was until word got out that Doc had indeed made it to the prerequisite level 40 this past week.  The news hit GTR like a sledgehammer made of panic…and maybe just a little urine.

Peterocc threw up the white flag on behalf of the GTR team saying:

“After seeing Lono and PMPB in action, I gotta say, I just don’t see HOW we could win. Plus Harlequin gives them that psychological edge. Did she put laxative in my lunch? Who knows? Throw in Dave, who is like some sort of nomadic MW2 warrior savant, online today, offline tomorrow, and Doc, who may very well be the living avatar for the God of Gaming, and you can see why we’d rather just back out now and save ourselves from what will no doubt be a beat down of Mastodon proportions.”

Doc and Lono are currently trying to convince Peterocc and Godfree to recommit.  Fingers crossed everybody!

Allegations of trash talk, harassment and un-gamer-like behavior on my part raised by the GTR team prompted me to interview myself (PMPB) about the situation.

PacManPolarBear: “So what do you make of this whole GTR situation?”

PMPB: “If they bring the bodies, I’ll bring the Kool Aid.”

PacManPolarBear: “What does that even mean?”

PMPB: “What?”

PacManPolarBear: “What does that mean?”

PMPB: “What does what mean?”

PacManPolarBear: “Dammit!”

One can only hope that GTR can pull themselves together before Sunday and at least try and fight SG.  If they do have the heart to face Team SG, we’ll be waiting for them.
