Remember 2009?  It’s going by so quickly, it would be completely understandable if you didn’t.

One thing that was pretty consistent for 2009?  A parade of nearly unplayable Western-themed titles were launched.  We had Darkest of Days (SG review here), Damnation, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. They were all great concepts and stories, but their execution and gameplay made my skin crawl…to the point where I had to even sing about it.

Will Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption break the trend on April 30th, 2010?  If this brand spankin’ new trailer says anything about it, it could even rival the Grand Theft Auto series in terms of sheer awesome tonnage.  Of note, all the action is supposed to all be in-game footage; no CG or pre-rendered cutscenes here!
