A game doesn’t have to be a masterpiece to earn a warm place in my heart. Take for example Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, a game that, despite its flaws, was still incredibly fun. I don’t remember any plot details, but can tell you that there were sexy explosions. Lots and lots of sexy explosions. It certainly sated my crude lust for destruction. Sometimes, I just want want to blow shit up.

Imagine my glee then, to hear that the remaining members of Pandemic Studios – now part of Electronic Arts Los Angeles – are working on another Mercs game, tentatively titled Mercs Inc. The game is still in the early stages of development, but looks to be a multiplayer-heavy affair, with leaked footage emphasizing the ability to play with friends.
