A game doesn’t have to be a masterpiece to earn a warm place in my heart. Take for example Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, a game that, despite its flaws, was still incredibly fun. I don’t remember any plot details, but can tell you that there were sexy explosions. Lots and lots of sexy explosions. It certainly sated my crude lust for destruction. Sometimes, I just want want to blow shit up.
Imagine my glee then, to hear that the remaining members of Pandemic Studios – now part of Electronic Arts Los Angeles – are working on another Mercs game, tentatively titled Mercs Inc. The game is still in the early stages of development, but looks to be a multiplayer-heavy affair, with leaked footage emphasizing the ability to play with friends. In true Mercs style, the video is teeming with carnage. See it for yourself, after the jump.

That’s what was believed at first, but the official release from EA is … well, official.
so it’s still coming out? Awesome i played world in flames on the 360 and it was awesome if not hard but still a good game despite the flaws.
From what they’ve got so far Mercs Inc seems like the best one in the series so far.
