Halo Reach. Perhaps the last Bungie-made Halo game ever. Our last, best hope at a coherent narrative. Whatever your take on the next Halo game, very little is known about the game. Is it a squad based shooter? Is it something altogether different?
I don’t know, but I’ve got seven screen caps of it, after the jump.
Got this tip from the fine folks over at GamertagRadio, who pulled the photos from a poster on Neo Gaf, who pulled the pics from the MLG forums. They appear to be seven screen captures of gameplay from Halo Reach, or so the poster claims.
See for yourself and you be the judge.

The poster had a bunch to say about this particular shot, specifically, he said:
“This is what the HUD looks like. In the bottom left, you can see your squadmates health and names. Right above the radar shows what perks you are carrying. When I played there were 3 perks-sprinting, cloaking, and halogram. The sprinting makes you run when you hold LB, cloaking makes you invisible (when you cloak your radar jams and you can’t really hear anything around you).
The halogram creates a hologram of yourself, so enemies will shoot at both.”
Interesting. Squadmates? Hmmm…

Very mysterious. What’s even more mystifying is what the lead guitarist of Rage Against the Machine has to do with all of this?

Interesting. Bungie just announced via their website weekly update that a whole mess of people were given dev. kits and copies of the Reach multiplayer to test from their homes. My guess is that these photos came from that “take-home” process. The person who leaked these is probably a Rage Against the Machine fan and wanted to make sure his/her photos were tagged.
The game art looks unfinished but those weapons looking flipping awesome !
The Rage Against the Machine reference was just a joke. I in no way believe that these pics were snapped by Tom Morello and then poorly tagged by Tom Morello, who used his own name and MS paint to deface the photos.
All I’m saying, the real Tom Morello would have at least used Photoshop…

Maybe it was the disgruntled Chris Cornell posing as Tom due to the breakup of Audioslave.
Communist spies probably kidnapped Tom Morello. They are forcing him to play test “Generic Sci-Fi Action Game: Reach” all day and night. These pictures are his cry for help, and his only hope.

Well the weapons look sweet at least. Especially that new (old) rifle. Also, I have a huge boner for Rage Against the Machine.

Dude it has nothing to do with the guitarist from rage. This guy is some short mexican kid. How do i know? I lanned H3 with him a month ago in Gurnee IL and he is def not a guitarist. Also, hes not to good at halo, especially MLG

I’m not buying anymore Halo products due to Bungie’s unjustified intrusion into my home network when they banned my console from gaining experience for two weeks. They felt that I should be banned because I was gaining achievements with others in my home during a LAN party. Apparently, you’re not allowed to gain achievements in this way without a ban from Bungie. Regardless, I sold my Halo games and I won’t support them anymore.
It’s apparently not even this guy who made the pics, they originally showed up on the B.net or HBO forums, then showed up on Neo.gaf, where this Tom Morello guy took them, put his name on them, and posted them on the MLG forums claiming he’d played the game.

The Neo Gaf post a lot of MLG forum members linked. It shows the pics without Morello’s name on them. It’s kind of confusing, though, as the poster first says he thinks Morello is legit and then goes on to basically discredit him.

i want to believe this is real, believe me i know it may seem like i’m a PS3 fanboy and that i hate halo but i don’t want to get my hopes up on pictures that could be fake,
that said i really like the look of the new guns, espcially the new super needler like gun.
well i was right. The pictures are fake as it says quite clearly “parody news” then again it also says rumour….

Ok obviously fake pictures especially if your a halo fan first thing why is the same exact odst compass at the top of the screenshot with the needler second this guy says there perks like hologram and cloaking witch if your an actual halo fan you would know that the Spartan armor has nothing like that on it hell most of the armors didn’t have energy shields besides chief and a few other Spartans 3rd the weapon pick up is exactly the same as in halo 3 4th the main menu screen on the right side shows the ark teleporter from halo 3 hmm lets think they dont discover the teleporter till halo 3 and that would be on earth in the first place so to all you idiots who think this is real STOP because there obviously fake you just want to dilute yourselves.
