BioWare: “Hello, would you like to play a game we’ve made?”
Krelith: *DROPS PHONE AND RUNS TO NEAREST PC*
That’s the way that conversation would go if it ever happened in real life. Which it hasn’t… YET. Still, there be some news on the ol’ BioWare/Dragon Age front. AND IT INVOLVES A GAME.
In a press release today, EA and BioWare announced that their browser-based side story to the much anticipated Dragon Age Origins – Dragon Age Journeys – will be available as of today (Oct 22nd).
The game reportedly takes somewhere in the region of 2-3 hours to beat, and allows deep customisation of your character. This includes borrowing the central premise of their big-budget brother – the option to start your character in one of six different origin stories.
As I write this, the game is not yet live. There is, however, a flash video detailing briefly what you can expect the game to play like. Frankly, it doesn’t look dissimilar to a potential episode of South Park, which in my opinion just adds to its charm.
The game is free to play and will seemingly unlock in-game content for Dragon Age Origins upon its release, though quite how this is achieved has not been stated. This is the first chapter of what EA seemingly intend to make an episodic brand, and promises to give players a “chance to experience the dark fantasy universe for the first time.”
I don’t know about you guys and gals, but if BioWare release anything, I’m generally willing to jump in head first. And this will be no exception. If you too are drawn to the call of the ‘Ware, head over to THE GAME’S WEBSITE to experience it for yourself.

It’s free, and made by Bioware. Why the hell not?
“hello krelith, i want to play a game i’ve made” Becasue i’ve been watching the saw series that’s how it came out for some weird reason….
if it looks like south park is that where the similarties stop? Becasue playing as cartman sound more appealing good thing we have tower defense to.. OH WAIT that’s 360 exclusive! But all the same dragon age looks ok so far. I hope bioware dosen’t drag it out till it eventually gets canned.
