Microsoft have done it again,and Sony wakes up alone and sore...

Microsoft confirmed today that they have reached a deal that will bring Fat Princess to the Xbox Live Arcade, and will be charging 10 MS points for each slice of cake, in an effort to recoup the $50 million spent to unseat the game from Sony exclusivity.

Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb, Director of Programming for Xbox Live gushes: “We are understandably excited about our recent acquisition of Fat Princess for the XBLA.  Unfortunately, our sales have been less than inspiring this year, and, quite frankly, we can’t afford what we paid for this revolutionary title.  To compensate for this, we are proud to announce that we will be introducing a new economic structure into the game that we believe will enhance gamers’ experience.”

“They say that art imitates life, so to better reflect the harsh economic reality we all now inhabit, cake is no longer free.  A player’s ability to fatten up their opponents’ princess will now be directly proportional to their real-life paycheck; again, an unprecedented level of realism in the increasingly popular ‘bloody-cartoon-capture-the-flag’ genre of gaming.”

Thank you Microsoft, for teaching us that the cake is both a lie, and a rip-off.
