Sarcastic Gamer proudly announces that on October 17th, 2009, gamers from around the world will join together for Extra Life 2009! Last year thousands of people played video games for 24 hours straight and raised over $120,000 to fund pediatric cancer research and treatment. We can’t wait to see what this year has in store! Keep reading to find out how to sign up!
It is simple to get involved and make a difference! All you have to do is find four people to sponsor you at one dollar per hour for the duration! Be hero! In three simple steps, you can do something to help children battling cancer.

All proceeds from Extra Life go directly to Texas Children’s Cancer Center at Texas Children’s Hospital. They are one of the largest pediatric cancer and hematology centers in the world, and they treat kids from all 50 states and over 80 countries. Every child gets the same ground-breaking treatment, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

I’d love to do this, but I have a question, What methods do they collect the money? Because we have a ton of time to collect but I need to know so i can collect that money in the right form.
You can collect via CC, Paypal, or even mail it in using the “Offline Donations” button on your dashboard.

You guys rock! @LokiLives you can play whatever you want!! Anything at all! @ Brian You do not have to film yourself! You just play games for 24 hours. You can do it with friends or online or whatever you want! SG will be having meet ups on XBox and PS3 and also will be live-streaming, so there will be lots of socializing going on to keep us all entertained for 24 hours!
