E3 09 Hands-On: MotorStorm Arctic Edge

pspgo1MotorStorm Arctic Edge was on display in the Sony booth on both PSP-3000’s and the new PSP go.  I was torn with what I played.  It looked good for a MotorStorm on the PSP and it had most aspects of the game implemented, but I couldn’t escape…

Keep reading for the down and dirty, and some screenshots!

I couldn’t escape the feeling I was racing through maple syrup.  Even with boosting, it seemed a smidge too slow.

I’m not sure if we can expect to see a noticeable difference in the final product or not, but I was hoping for the sensation of breakneck speed Motorstorm and Pacific Rift offered, but in a pocket-sized iteration and I don’t quite think they nailed it.

Will my worries be dispelled when the game is released? After all, the differences between Pacific Rift’s demo and the final game were huge…guess we’ll have to wait and see.
