Took long enough, to the point of almost being unnecessary (hell, Jack Tretton pretty much admitted that it was the big secret of the show) but here it is. Sony has just unveiled the PSP Go!
Slidey screen, 16GB hard drive, Bluetooth, Memory Stick M2 slot, no second thumbstick. 50% smaller, 40% lighter than the original PSP.
You’ll download games and movies from the PSN on the PSP’s own PlayStation Store, or you can access the PlayStation Store from Sony’s new Media Go software on your PC meaning you can store everything you buy on your PC and transfer it when you like. All future PSP games will ship digitally, as well as on UMD. No word on back catalogues, yet.
What’s more, the PSP Go!’s features will be available on the PSP-3000 and the Slim and Lite too, and it will retail for $249/€249 from October 1st in North America and Europe, and November 1st in Japan.
What’s more, Gran Turismo PSP will launch with 800 cars and 30-odd tracks as a launch title, to garner some interest.
There you go then. Thoughts?
