During the Microsoft press conference, nestled between the latest 360 gemstones, the Modern Warfare 2 trailer that was released during the NBA Finals last week was played again. Yawn there, no new news.
The big news was that the 360 version of the latest release from Infinity Ward, scheduled to drop on November 10th, 2009, will have two timed exclusive map packs for the 360. Sorry, Wii owners!
Anyway, they put some schmuck up there to play the opening mountain warfare scene, which shows a newly promoted Captain Soap McTavish leading you along the side of a near sheer vertical surface of a mountain. Upon a few death defying leaps utilizing a pair of ice axes, you reach the summit to find a small Russian military complex, which the player tears through like a small force of nature.
And for escape? You got it. Snowmobiles. Right out of a James Bond movie from the 70s, you and Cpt. Soap go hurtling back down the mountain on the back of a pair of snowmobiles. And this ain’t your grandad’s rail-shooter, no sir. The action and gameplay of the driving looked very nice!
So, here’s to the next round of snowmobile gunplay!

why am i not surprised? More stuff that only 360 gamers can get their hands on. Anyone who agrees with me that multiplatform games should have DLC for all formats would boycott this with me along with the other crap
Timed exclusive Timey, Timed. It means you’ll get it on the PS3, just a few weeks later.
This better not get in the way of the PC version. Infinity Ward treated us like crap with CoD4, no prestige, locally hosted profiles, etc, but two free map-packs next time might make them good again.
Was it Captain Soap or the same actor playing a different character? He sounded like he was trying a new voice, and where were te crazy side burns?
