Woaaah mama. Suddenly, FFXIII on 360 doesn’t seem to hard to bear. Final Fantasy XIV will be a PS3 exclusive when it launches in 2010. It’s an MMO. And it looks WOW.

That’s all we have right now. But bask in it!

I quit Final Fantasy XI about a year ago in anticipation for the next game. I am very excited that it’s not only coming, but sooner than expected. I hope the 2010 window wasn’t just for Japan.

      now THAT was surprising.
      The question now is:
Will it be a monthly fee? or one-time purchase?

and also, it may be coming to PC, they only said “PS3 is the only console to get this” or something.

      but fantastic!!
      disappointed in no versus though.

It will absolutely be monthly fee. (Every Square Enix online game has a fee of some kind) And yes it will be coming to PC.

code named Rapture until this announcement confirming its name.
it will be for the PS3 and PC (was also being made for the 360 but looks like it was dropped). from closely looking at the video and screen shots on there just resonantly lunched site the races from FFXI will make a return.

i don’t think there will be a monthly fee, proberly if they release it for PC then for the PC version but playing online for free made the PS3 what it is so to have one game that takes that away wouldn’t make much sense.
