Hey, chumps and chumpettes, listen up.

You wanted more community projects with the upcoming SG 3.0 changes, so let’s give this a try.

You slave away on your uber forum posts listing six reasons why Rothbart should shave his beard.  You devote hour after hour, of what could be game time, writing on your Sarcastic Gamer blog about the evils of the WiiMotion Plus.  Bottom line: you enjoy writing and you’ve got something that you want the Sarcastic Gamer Community to know about.

Put your money where your mouth is and let’s see what you’ve got.

Here’s how we’re going to do this. Starting today, I will begin surfing the Sarcastic Gamer community blog posts to be highlighted on the front page!  Write your best piece and stick it on your blog.  Once a week, we will dip into the blogs and search for the best submissions we can find.  Based on content, proper grammar and spelling, they be put on the front page for the whole community to see.

Bad Example:

OMG WTF SOME GUY SAID HALO 3 SUCKZ AND I WAS ALL LIKE NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111!

Good Example:

There was a chap over on the forum who made the preposterous statement that Halo 3 is in fact not the Second Coming.  I immediately challenged him to fisticuffs and make a derogatory comment about his mother and a donkey….[and so on]

Okay, maybe without the early 20th century foppery, but I think you get the idea.  Be compelling, be funny, be different, but remember to spell it RITE.  I mean, right.

New to the site, but want to figure out how to get your name in lights?  No fear, Padawan.  Follow these simple steps to get set up!

1. On the top of the front page, you’ll see a list of tabs under the Sarcastic Gamer banner, such as “Home” or “Podcasts”.  Click on the “Forums” button.
2. If you have not registered for an account, there’s  a link on the notice at the top of the forums to click in order to register.
3. Register yourself a new account by filling out your age and coming up with a login name and password.  Once you verify the account through an email address, you’re almost there.
4. From the “Forums” page, on the top bar you’ll see the tab “SGC Blogs”.  Click on that button under the head banner.
5. You’re now in the blog section.  On the left hand option bar, you’ll see a list of options for you to choose from.  Click “Post To Your Blog” to get started with your masterpiece.

The goal is that, once a week, someone’s post from their blog gets highlighted on the front page for the rest of the world to see!  You wanted more community events and Sarcastic Gamer delivers!
