Nyaaaaw. Meet Logan, Edinburgh Zoo’s resident wolverine. In other words, it’s a twisted PR stunt from Activision to promote the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game.

But who’s to rain on their parade when he’s so adorable? More photos to squee at over the jump.

To mark the launch of the game (review later today on SG) Activision have sponsored the wolverine enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo (it’s in Scotland, about an hour or two’s drive from here) for the next year. Edinburgh has the UK’s only wolverines and so, while it’s a merciless PR stunt from a faceless global corporation, it’s a nice one nevertheless and ensures the little furry buddies can live happily and safely.

In turn, it also helps fund some wolverine conservation projects across the globe. And the lead male wolverine gets renamed Logan. Nyaaaaw.

Anyway, you don’t want to read this. You want to squee at adorable wolverines! So here they are, partnered with not-so-adorable Wolverine. And yes, it’s a slow news day.
