On first glance, this reeked of EA deciding to market this game in a way not quite befitting to its intended audience.
On (several) subsequent glances… Nay, stares, I can’t help but see it as the only way you can market this game at all.
Differentiating your orcs-and-elves-hack-and-slash questsperience from the rest of the crowd is always going to be an onerous task, and how have EA decided to handle this? Making sure people realise that this isn’t their father’s fantasy game, this is a dark, bloody story that only people of a high constitution* should consider picking up.
So tell me, are you motherfuckers ready for the new shit?
