      Short and funny.

      This was very good.

After reading every one of these comics, I can undoubtedly say that the short ones are the funniest. That said, brevity is the soul of wit, if you can take a hint. I really think fewer words and bigger panels to allow for more art would improve the comics dramatically. Everyone hates CAD because of Buckley’s verbosity, and this comic seems to be headed down the same road, the one paved with WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS WORDS.

      >Breaking news. Dave’s 16th attempt at the Pong High Score record has hit a snag.

      >Dave, when did you realize you were playing a two-player game?
      >About 84 hours in.

      >It’s a shame. I was only losing by 117 points!

Some constructive criticism to consider. For more examples, read Yahtzee’s view of webcomics.

Thanks, I always welcome constructive criticism and I’m an overly verbose bastard but I do have a small excuse on this one. There was a ‘joke’ I ended up cutting from the first panel – In the draft script Doc said “You join me Live as Dave makes his 17th attempt to break the high score record on Pong, set by some long haired freak in 1979″

That was even more wordy! But wouldn’t fit so it ended up as you see it now.

Both your comments and the hysterical Yahtzee’s duly noted though and thanks for that, hadn’t seen that before = )
