Can Infinity Ward do it again?

The sequel that everyone is praying to their respective deities for is getting that much closer to becoming a reality. November 10th, 2009 is the day everything you know about multiplayer first person shooters hopefully gets tossed out the window on it’s head again; Infinity Ward is set to release the sequel to the wildly popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, merely called this time around Modern Warfare 2.

This was aired during the NBA playoffs tonight, and it’s an ass kicker. For those of you who couldn’t find yourself getting excited over “Soap” McTavish and the single player experience for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, this looks as good if not better than most big budget blockbuster movies coming out this summer. I dare you not to like it.
So here’s to hoping Infinity Ward can make lightning strike twice.

Looks disappointing.
hmmm indeed it does look kinda disappointing. Looks like a “One Man Heroic Adventure”. I thought most ppl wud want it to stay gritty and real. Guess we gotta wait and see, its still early i guess.
I’m worried that they’ll try and go too epic with the storyline on this one. Snow mobiles? Seriously? The dude with the mohawk makes this seem too “Mercenaries 2″-esque. I liked the attention to detail and vast amounts of military hardware in the last one, I felt like a badass, but a badass governed by military rules and doctrine. This one seems to have the cheesy element of “elite band of slightly redneck dudes casually take down Dr. Russian and his evil henchmen’ then go home to crack open a beer.” Which sounds shit, no?
I definately dont like the idea of snowmobiles.
The vehicles in COD:WAW were poor and I really dont believe they’re necessary.
Looks a bit meh. I have never played COD 4 (awful I know but I have only had my Xbox since Christmas
) This could ruin the COD name (even though its not included in the actual title)
seems quite good for a call of duty game, to be honest i didn’t like these type of games to begin with though it looks as if this is going to be much better then at least world at war which recycled the old WWII scenerio

Did i see a young Captain Price? More Flashback levels me thinks. Still as long as theres a British campaign this time (unlike WAW).

Wow, surprised at the negativity! Trust me, I’m cautiously optimistic as well, but then again, I’m a single player gamer at heart, so…take it for what it’s worth!
Okay, I can’t wait for this movie!!! Oh wait… it’s not a movie. It’s another FPS… probably multiplayer heavy. Oh, yeah… Call of Duty. Okay… probably not for me. But if it WAS a movie, I’d TOTALLY be there!
