Have you ever wondered what Desmond had to put up with when he was keying numbers into a terminal every 108 minutes in Lost? Well wonder no more. The iPhone/iPod Touch has just the app available to put you directly into that mindset! Check out this ludicrous, yet potentially addictive product, after the jump.

Doomsday Terminal is the new app from Smallrock Software that requires you to compete against other individuals all over the world in a contest to determine who has the most free time on their hands can prevent catastrophic disasters for the longest period of time. So far, the current record holder has lasted a week. A WEEK! A week of hitting some buttons every 108 minutes! This person is clearly a Lost geek unemployed irrefutably sad true gaming legend.

The app also allows you to communicate with the other saps players involved by sending messages using the code screen.

Unfortunately, this is not an official app on behalf of Lost. The numbers required every 108 minutes are different to those in the show. But if you’ve ever wanted to feel what it’s like to be an insomniac Desmond felt, this is most certainly an iPhone app worth purchasing for the low, low price of 59p (So I guess in the region of $1 USD?).

Go on… you know you want to…

    • Now if there were a prize at the end… I’d totally do it. But the fact that this dude is waking up several times during the night to enter the code for over a week now JUST so he can have the ‘high score’… not worth it!
