The thing is, the point of advertising is to drive across the brand. That advert is so absurd that you have no choice but to remember it. That’s why it works.

your a good friend but nobody cares WHY an advert works, that’s like explaining quantum theory to youtube users nobody understands and nobody cares unless by some freak coincidence one of them is a scientist which is very unlikely
i can’t watch this as the link won’t work for me and youtube has died on me, we had a good run old friend *lays youtube into a coffin, youtube being surprisingly small*

To an extent, yes, but often it’s the gimmick and not the product that people remember, if you make an “interesting” ad that is just absurd and ignores the brand then you’re wasting money.
