UPDATE: Nope, he was just talking about the already-confirmed PSP version. But at least he’s in it! This is good news. Here’s the original anyway.
Another news quickie for you, straight from the realms of the Twittersphere and onto our news desk.
A certain English gentleman may have given the game away – pardon the pun – regarding the existence of LittleBigPlanet 2. Read about it over the jump!
The story has cropped up on Stephen Fry’s Twitter, where about 3 hours ago (7.30AM UK time) he posted an update regarding a voice-acting gig:
Morning all. In studio today voicing 2nd edition of a video game. Will check when I’m there if I’m allowed to say what it is…
Doesn’t take a genius to work out that 1) he’s talking about LittleBigPlanet 2 and that 2) the game existed in the first place. A sequel was undoubtably on the cards anyway, but the fact that voice acting has begun is promising regarding the game’s release date.
If voice acting has started, that probably means that tutorials and the like have been sorted out…which means that new features have been planned in their entirely and that the game is well into development.
So then, if Mr Fry is to be believed LittleBigPlanet 2 is well on its way. Excited, or do you just not care?

Or maaaybe the more likely LBP for PSP, which have been rumors about quite some time now…
It would be illogical to start with LBP2 already, voice-acting kinda comes last-ish in the development process, so this would mean they have started it a long time ago.
MM have said they actually could make LBP a FPS with the engine, only needing a little update, so I can’t see the reason for a LBP2 already.
A LBP Portable on the other hand.. HMMM

Steven Fry was in Fable 2, and the character he voiced had an open ending, meaning he may be voicing that particular character for a second addition of Fable 2 with expanded content, like the Lost Chapters.
He tweeted not long after that one that it was the PSP version.
He confirmed that it was the PSP version..

a PSP version sounds cool anyway. It’s so obvious the the PSP and PS3 versions of littlebigplanet will be able to connect together like they did with resistance 2 and resistance: retribution.
The only thing i’m worried about is that littlebigplanet easily run out of space and had that annoying bar thing coming up telling you to get rid of stuff just so you could play in peace!
