Konami has decided that their upcoming title “Six Days in Fallujah” has caused far too much controversy and have decided to pull it from release. Whether another publisher decides to take on the job has yet to be seen, but for now, “Six Days in Fallujah” is a non-starter.

Are Konami being sensible in pulling “Fallujah” from their release schedule, or are they over-reacting to the media frenzy that followed the game’s announcement? Let us know in the comments!

      Ehhh, I guess if they try and push it in a few months it could work since the topics already been covered by the media so it would get stale.
      But otherwise it’s going to be a very long time before this becomes something that isn’t controversial, especially considering how long “too soon” can last.

    • I think that “Too Soon” will last a few decades. It’s still evena little “Too Soon” to make a ‘Nam game. Not exactly, but so far non have really panned out too well.

      this may seem dumb but what the heck is six days in fallujah? Sounds like some kind of Holiday Sim Game!

      Resident evil 5 was accused of being racist so this i imagine would be accused of that from the name alone.

      I was never interested in it anyway.

      I feel that if they were able to capture the horror that is war kind of like Brothers In Arms Hells Highway then it would have been probobly been a good idea to make the game but if the title was a flop then it would probobly recieve an unreasonable ammount of critisism. In my opinion there was too much risk involved with the title and it dose sound like the sencible thing to do. I was actually looking forward to this title and am hoping that they dont go through with this. Also a game like this might work better if it were an RTS. Now Im not a big RTS fan but with an FPS it would just seem to difficult to create a fun game and still make the game portray the horror of war. They could probobly make it like company of heros tales of valor only following one unit. Well thats my opinion on it and a long one too.

      @Timewarp.

      It’s a game based around a unit of the US forces in combat in Fallujah. As hopefully you are aware, this is a real life, current conflict in which people are still dying.

      Konami received a lot of flack over their perceived lack of sensitivity to the families of those currently serving and those currently dying both civilian and military.

      Pulling out is the best way to keep from getting it preggers

      And yet there’s still gang violence and hookers getting beat up when games like Saints Row 2 and GTA are being released…It’s not “too soon” for those topics.
      Done well and respectfully, SDiF could have been fine. (Disclaimer: I do not serve in the military nor do I personally know anyone who does.)
