A couple of weeks ago, had you told me we were recording our last episode of the Red Show, I would not have believed you.  For well over a hundred shows Lono, Dave and I pulled it together and cranked out humpday Updates, Podcasts, game specials and so much more.

Lono was a part of that show from nearly the beginning, and to continue that show without him on it would have been an empty experience for everyone.  We never went on the air without each other, and even when it was a scheduling nightmare.  We will not continue “The Red Show” without Lono.  It just wouldn’t ever work.  There’s too much history there.

Instead, we’re closing that chapter, and opening a new one.

Standby for a new type of show, coming tonight, which we hope you’ll receive with an open mind.

Thank you for listening to all of those shows and welcoming us into your head a couple times a week for the last year and a half.  We hope you’ll hang around long enough to give this new show a chance.  Lono has started a new project, which is currently hosted over at the HCCG site that we hope you’ll check out as well.

Good night and farewell to one of the most interesting periods of my life…  Thanks for the memories.

That’s sad to hear, but like a relationship- better to end quickly it then slowly burn out let things fall apart. Hopefully you guys stay around the community and we get to hear something in the future.

    • PayneTrainSG says:

Holy shit. I have nothing else to say.

    • I was looking for the punchline at the end, but then I remembered it was already Sunday.

I had a great time listening to you guys and hope that whatever you have coming up will be just as amazing.

So is the new show still gonna be on the same feed as the Red Show?

    • detbadboys8990 says:

well, too bad it had to end this way. Not much to say other than hankyou for all the entertainment you’ve brouht me. I religiously listned to your show and will have difficulty letting it go. Hopefully the death of this giant will give birth to new opportunities for the site and the community. Again, thankyou and good luck on the future projects.

    • Doc says:

Never got active in the community, but I have listened to the podcasts for a while now. You guys are great, and I’m sad to see something as wonderful and powerful as this be let go. But if their is one thing I have come to expect from Sarcastic Gamer, it is quality. Whatever comes next, I’m sure it will be great.

F*ck off. Just no, I’m sick of people calling BS.

I still can’t beleive that after all this, it ended in less than a week… I’m gonna miss it so much…

Hopefully this new podcast will fill the void left by my favorite podcast, the red show.

    • UndeadDoG says:

Stop all the doom & gloom bitchin’. The new format kicks so much ass. Great show, guys. Proud to be a part of it. You added more sarcasm, and that’s we’re all about. Who needs another strait laced game news show?

    • Chubbaluphigous says:

I understand why you would stop doing the red show. I totally respect your decision and dig the new show. But I must ask, does HCCG really constitute greener pastures, or was that just a guest spot?

    • Destyn says:

Lono may have been a big part of the old ‘cast but he wasn’t the be-all and end-all, Doc. We’re not going to give up on SG just because he’s moved on – we’ve still got you and Dave so don’t feel you have to throw guest podcasters at us to keep us interested.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice hearing new voices, but don’t underestimate your own pull.

      Keep on keeping on, guys.

    • DamnITlono says:

    • Ages McCoor says:

this was the podcast that got me into listening to podcasts. i left on vacation with a number of new episodes and returned to this, i just cant beleive it, the red show was the only gaming podcast that i found entertaining.

but i love the podcast and this site so i’m willing to accept something new. and if i may say, you guys kicked butt on every single show, and the community will stand behind you guys no matter what you do

    • topgamer95 says:

Dude, fiction friday was 3 days ago.
I wish all of the cast the best of luck on the new show, and I wish lono luck on his new show.

    • Ha Ha Ha! Oh wow. says:

      wat

    • Zvolen says:

As always, when one door closes another one opens.

    • Luckydupe says:

Personally, ive listenend to the red show since episode 16, and frankly up to the present day i think what destroyed the red show was the non-stop dave bashing, and less of game talking, Lono took mostly care of that part(lawyers always do) and i think that the best time the SG red crew ever had was back in the day when Doc and Lono met at battlestations midway[cant remember 100%] anyways, i hope that the red show supports the blue show more now, bechause frankly, the last time i checked the blue show became great after ep 24, and they have kicked ass since then. 1 luv :)

    • SpAM_CAN says:

Why end on 80? You should-a ended at 100…

    • Hachi says:

I just started to listen to the Red show recently, this saddens me greatly. I hope that you guys can put together something awesome soon! I look forward to it!

    • Waisybabu says:

*gulp*. This is sad, really it is. The Red Show was a part of my life. I listened to it every Monday and Thursday night and it really made those nights swell! I just hope everything works out well and that maybe maybe just MAYBE Lono decides to come back and does the show. But yes, I also agree with Destyn, if a little bit.

And yes, the Red Show’s parting of ways was indeed amongst my worst fears.

      God Bless.
