April Fools’: a time where gentle folk can have fun spreading false facts in an attempt to deceive the gullible. Unfortunately, those who fall for these acts of trickery do not have as much fun, so Sarcastic Gamer will be dispelling any game related April Fools’ throughout the day, as a favour to you, our readers. Colon dee.
If, as you casually strolled down the internet highway this morning, you stopped in at IGN, you may have noticed a video of a ‘hardcore’ version of Smash Bros.. Touted as part of a new service called Wii Expand, a way in which to download expansion packs for the latest and greatest (snigger!) Wii titles, Smash Bros. Brawl ‘Extreme’ mode adds blood, guts and general gore to the popular family-friendly title. Of course, given that this is an ‘April Fools’ MEGA Super Alert Extreme’ post, both Wii Expand and Super Smash Bros. Brawl X: Extreme are fake. That doesn’t stop us from embedding the video after the jump though (which features Mario being decapitated by Link), for all to enjoy.

WHAT THE?! Is it fake, is it not fake? I know you had an alert but the video looked extremely convincing, now i’m not sure whether your bluffing or double bluffing OR EVEN TRIPLE BLUFFING!!
