Cool idea :) Its a great way to get a quick survey of what the SG staff think about a game.

Very neat, I look forward to more.

I wonder…will these be updated if more of the SG crew picks up a certain game?

    • sogard says:

If SG ever needs to make some budget cuts, just lay-off the names that show up gray the most.

    • kyot says:

      Since it is about simplifying.
Would it be better if the bottom line is just the positive or negative signs on the left/right, and 1 word to describe the feelings of the game?

      e.g. -useless- or +nostalgic+ or +puurty+

    • consolerpgdude says:

So Doc and the Pink Show don’t have them eh?

I’d think at least Harley would want Killzone since she’s such a shooter nut!

    • Lono says:

      That’s a good idea Kyot…

    • heimai69 says:

Does this remind me of Pokemon cards or Monopoly?

    • bbqfox says:

It just shows…doc 8bitbass and regua are exactly like the girls from the pink show in buying games I also like PMPB has all of the games

    • MightyMutt says:

@ Kyot – yes that’s a very good idea, I like it alot

“I’d think at least Harley would want Killzone since she’s such a shooter nut!” – To be fair she did want it but doesn’t have a PS3.

I’m glad that most people seem to like the Game Grids and that people are already using them to find patterns in our spending. I also hope when there is a few of them that it might highlight some games that you might otherwise not have considered – say you always tend to like the same games as Yamster, you might pay more attention to a game you never heard of if he bought it and liked it.

“I wonder…will these be updated if more of the SG crew picks up a certain game?”
That is a concern at first and will mean that I’ll tend to do these for the bigger games, slightly after their release. I hope to eventually have it so every team member can update it on the fly, but with my slightly limited technical knowledge, I’m not so sure how easy that will be to implement – I’m guessing not easy, so we will have to see how that works out.

Thanks for your comments everyone, as usual with any thing I do for SG, it’s for you. So if it’s not good enough for you or you can think of a way to improve it, I’m always open to suggestions.

I like that Lono and Dave the from the “360 only red show” reviewed KZ2 but didn’t do Halo Wars. Yup they defienetly don’t respect other consoles… I also find it funny that none of the pink show hosts have anything to say about any of the games I thought Harlequin at least, being a shooter fan might have put up something for KZ2.

    • Spoodge6 says:

Great idea guys. Can you put these in a certain area and have a link on the side of the page so they are easier to find.

    • Dez says:

      @ MightyMutt

The easiest way to make it so that everyone can easily update it themselves is to make each indivduals box in the grid an individual image. Lay it out using some simple html coding into the grid, then each person could just go in and swap their grey-ed out image for their updated one – or better yet coded in php to recognise image names and then its just a case of uploading a new image for it to auto take effect.
