Have you found yourself wondering where in the hell Max Payne has been? Maybe you’ve been missing the greatly overused and outdated bullet time or being reminded over and over again that the pills would dull the pain. Whatever the your reason for that special longing, he’s back bitches.

According to Take Two’s press release, Max’s life has turned a corner. “Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out.” If the brutal murder of his family and several bad drug trips wasn’t bad enough, the creators decided to move Max to Detroit.  Poor bastard.

Take Two:

“This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”

So, the drug crazed antihero is back, huh?  Sounds to me like this time he’ll need Viagra to get his bullet time up.  Maybe whip out his AARP card instead of his gun by mistake.

“The AARP card buys the pills that dull the pain”.

Rockstar has two choices… They can innovate or put out another vanilla third person shooter.

I just hope Max doesn’t have to drive his cousin around for the first 45 minutes of the game.
