People still buy horse armour, Oblivion DLC ranked

While my equestrian dentistry career never really took off, it appears that there are many people out there who share my love for noble steeds. In fact, people just like to make their horses pretty. Whether it’s through grooming their wispy manes, gently plucking stones from their shoes or, say, treating them to a new set of 200microsoftpointslogo gleaming plate mail.

I only mention this because over at the Bethesda Blog, the developer of interactive entertainment ranked all of the Oblivion DLC in order of total sales and the controversial Horse Armour pack clocked in at number nine. Find the list after the jump.

1. Wizard’s Tower
2. Thieves Den
3. Mehrunes Razor
4. Spell Tomes
5. Vile Lair
6. The Orrery
7. Knights of the Nine
8. Shivering Isles
9. Horse Armor
10. Fighter’s Stronghold

Bethesda mentioned that even Horse Armour “continues to sell daily”, which is a shame because Horse Armour is one of the most useless DLC packs to ever hit the Xbox Live Marketplace, offering nothing but an aesthetic upgrade. I guess people just really want to make their horsies feel…loved.

      How new is this story?

I remember seeing that same quote (that “even horse armour continues to sell daily”) in a UK print magazine at least a year ago.

Didn’t have the chart attached. But I remember the quote, if only because the magazine had the same sort of reaction as you did!

It’s a recent story. The Bethesda Blog post was only put up on Jan 31, 2009.

Maybe it is still the case then?

God alone knows why people are buying it though.

      I liked the horse armour.

@Whodini1: Oblivion is still being bought and played, and will continue to be done so till Bethdesa releases TES 5 or something =/
