Yesterday, Sunday, I purchased GTA IV’s expansion for the Xbox 360, two days before it was released. I purchased it from Gamestop. Now, before the internets go on fire, just know that you can buy it early too.
In fact everybody can. What is this all about? Find out, after the jump.
Turns out, retail outlets are already selling the Lost and Damned expansion. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play it until Tuesday at 12:01 am. With the retail box, you get It’s going to be a 2Gb download and no, you cannot download it early, like with Steam. You’ll have to wait until 12:01 am on Tuesday.
And that’s about all I know. The game doesn’t come with a booklet, so there’s no description of the new multiplayer modes, if any, or anything in the box to give you a clue as to what the heck you’re in store for.
What you do get is a 48 hour trial for XBL and a poster that doubles as a map for Liberty City, for those of us that, I dunno haven’t already played the game?
Well, there you go. Go pick it up and I’ll see you at 12:01am.
Please Mr. Video Game god, please let there be some fun stuff to do in the expansion…

So is the 2GB download with or without the retail box. It’s not that clear.
And how much for?
I’ll go pick it up tomorrow then, do they card you? Doesn’t seem they should since you wouldn’t buy the expansion with out the game. I have yet to get a state ID lol.
You can only get Lost and Damned via retail box.
please Mr. Video game god, put Lost and the damned onto the PS3 as well. Oh and kill Bill gates and Phill harris, i’m sure they’ll be at the same place whinging about the other guy’s company! Why not put this on the PS3? Surely that’s where all the GTA fans go? Well most of them…..
I correct myself, you can only buy it early at a retail location.
@TimeWarp
I’m sure the 40 something million Microsoft “handed” to rockstar will mean they’ll waltz over to ps3 next week, and if you can’t tell I’m being sarcastic.
