The only thing keeping me from getting excited over Battlefield 1943 is the distribution format (XBLA/PSN). Pop goes the trade-in…. you know what I mean? Otherwise, this return to the roots of the Battlefield series, complete with aircraft and big ships and lots of exploding crap, has me kinda juiced. Apparently, these kids at ComiCon felt the same way. (Video and reaction after the jump)
24 player online goodness, here I come. I’ll be the guy hogging the planes!
EA has a ton of other videos kinda compiled here. Thanks for the tip Ben!

Thanks for the demo code, Doc!
I could use it since the Gamestop i preordered at yesterday ran out of codes
Well,if you saw my other very long comment on the other recent article about this game, we’ll just say I’m less than pleased with DICE’s continual dumbing down and lack of innovation in the Battlefield series.
When is this game looking to release? Does anyone know for how much? I looks like a great way to kill some time.
I’m looking forward to this quite a bit. The XBLA release and lack of trade-in is unfortunately the way things are going. My guess is that the next gen, while not getting rid of hard copy games entirely, is going to be very reliant on XBLA and PSN like distribution. Gamestop is going to go the way of the ghost, I’m afraid.
