A week has passed since the epic failure that was patch 3.0.8, and WoW players are once again faced with the regular Tuesday maintenance. While you could pass the time of the maintenance by going outside or actually doing something productive, I urge you to click over and take the jump. You’ll learn about a cool add-on if you do.
Please?
For this edition of Warcraft Weekly’s Add-On Central, I’m going to introduce you to a gem of an add-on called Ark Inventory, which I simply cannot live without. Every WoW player is familiar with the standard bag system in the game, where each of your bags is opened and maintained independently. For someone who cares about keeping their items and loot organized, this is a very tedious system that requires constant attention and maintenance to achieve some semblance of order.
Ark Inventory nullifies all of that. When you first load it up, it looks like your basic inventory that you would find in any game. While that’s about 20,000 times better than the original bag system, it’s not enough to justify an entire article talking about the add-on. It’s the amazing amount of customization and control you have over the way Ark Inventory sorts your items that makes it worth your time to continue reading this and download it.
When you go into the customization options of Ark Inventory, you have 24 different spaces that you can have the add-on automatically sort items into as you pick them up. The categories you can sort by include Quest Items, trash (grey items), soul-bound items, ammo, food, water, etc… Pretty much anything you can imagine. Plus, if you don’t like the way Ark Inventory sorts a particular item, you can set your own rules for every single item you have, if you so wish.
Ark Inventory is an add-on that caters to the casual, the hardcore, and the anal-retentive. If you just want to merge your bags into a single inventory pane, it does that beautifully. But if you want to separate all your items into different categories so you have different places for your water, potions, raid gear, pvp gear, tuxedo suit, and the random bits of animals you pick up while questing, you have that option as well.
There are few add-ons that I can suggest to every player, and Ark Inventory is one of them. If you want to download it, head over to WoW Interface and pick it up.
Until next week, Remain Vigilant.
