It also appears that world-renowned a-hole Simon Cowell will appear in the game as “Syphon Cruel.” Look, I would love to beat the living crap out of a virtual version of the dick judge from “American Idol,” but I don’t want to do it with some guy named “Dewie Streudel.”
“Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2″ featured a few celebrity guest characters, such as Bill Clinton and Shaquille O’Neal, but they merely supplemented the game’s roster of over-the-top fictional fighters like Butcher Brown and Jet “Iron” Chen. I don’t mind the inclusion of a few notable pop culture icons, but ditching franchise favorites like Afro Thunder seems like a huge mistake that could upset longtime fans. Though, the inclusion of motion controls and the celebrity-inspired roster suggest that it is intended for more casual players.
Before someone bites my head off in the comments section, I would like to mention that the game will allow players to customize their own original combatants in Championship mode. Therefore, you won’t always have to play as one of the game’s celebrity-inspired fighters.
According to Destructoid:
Everything about your fighter, from hair, to clothes, tattoos, body type, and so on, can be changed. As you progress through the game, you earn new parts and items to use for your custom character.
Unfortunately, the game’s control scheme will probably negate any desire you might have to play with your created character.
I will save my final judgment for when the game is released next year, but I would be pleasantly surprised if AKI could turn this star-filled flail fest into a winner.

AKI did an AWESOME job with No Mercy so I’d be interested in seeing what becomes of this.
I definately hope they base the controls off of actual motion other than this flailing and waggling CRAP!
I’ll wait for fight night round 4 mmkay
