The announcement of Starcraft 2 is a big one. It’s probably going to appear higher on this list, as it is such an iconic game and if it doesn’t, I’ve been assured by some of our Korean readers, that it is very hard to game without thumbs…
That said, number 93 on our top 100 isn’t about the announcement at all, but instead the announcement AFTER the announcement that Starcraft 2 would gof for the money grab. Check out what the heck I’m talking about, after the jump.
Turns out, that Blizzard is turning Starcraft 2 into three games… The first, focusing on the Terrans, will be followed by a Zerg campaign and then finally, two years after the Terran’s game, the Protoss game will finally be released to conclude the trilogy. The official names of the three games are: Terran: Wings of Liberty, Zerg: Heart of the Swarm, and Protoss: Legacy of the Void.

The original Starcraft was great and all, but yes, Blizzard will make a fortune out of Korea on this. It is their national sport, after all!
But seriously, if we were Blizzard, I think most of us would do the same thing…
I think that announcement was a top moment not because blizzard is trying to milk gamers to death, but because they took the right developer choice. I hope people stop atacking those guys for charging 150$ for a game that will be as long as three games
