Obesity. It’s a common thing in today’s society. So, why not make a game that incorporates a flaw in humanity for comedy and kickass multiplayer action? One reason not to, is the fact that there are certain people who find it offensive and degrading.
This is a PC society after all.
Step one, Sony announced a game where you and your buddies defend a princess from another group of people, similar to capture the flag. To give it a new spin, you are allowed to give your princess cake and other treats to fatten her up so it takes more players from the other team to carry her off.
Step two, Melissa McEwan becomes upset upon hearing about the title of said game and wrote about it. She evidently didn’t get to go to her prom, so, obviously, Sony must pay. PAY!!!
Step three, the rest of the world, which never gave the game more than a chuckle, made fun of her.
Step four, the pure controversy from a game that has no neck hole humping makes the Fat Princess controversy number 51 on our top gaming moments of 2008.

You know what’s even funnier? Her disqus code made my browser too fat to sit in my RAM without having to halt the script and dump the data myself.
Gosh, the irony.
Ha ha ha! Oh wow. I remember raiding those comments. The over-reaction was delicious.
