The community that supports Sarcastic Gamer is loyal and ferocious.  They’re also extremely generous with their time.  For the site’s first birthday, we asked for a chance to meet some SG community members.  Like the spoiled brats we are, we got everything we asked for.

The parties might not have been of Animal House zaniness, they were epic to us.  Lono led celebrations in Chicago, Frawlz organized in NYC, Dave and I hosted a shindig in Houston, and Mightymutt did the honors in the UK.  Animathias, that party animal, led an online bash.

These get-togethers were more than just a night out for our teams.  It was the first time we’d had the chance to meet face to face with the community we serve.  We got to ask a lot of questions about the way things are going and even shared some nuggets with them that they all kept surprisingly quiet.

We like to party and we hope you’ll come next year.  Because you only turn one once, our first birthday and the accompanying celebrations check in at number 45 in our Top 100 moments of 2008.
