Wow. Talk about censorship. If Dustin at Xbox360Fanboy is to be believed, Lionhead is currently waiting on certification of its patch that will apparently eliminate your option to eliminate the young residents of Fable land. It’s bad enough that you lose a whole section of your dialogue possibilities when speaking to youth, but now you can’t even assassinate them!
What the hell?
Personally, I am going to go straight home and finish this game, taking down as many helpless children as I can, and get me that gold before it’s gone. Hell no Molyneaux! Hell no Molyneaux!
What’s next? I won’t be able to scold my dog because animal rights activists are upset?
I am so sick of these people who want to run around and protect children from violence.
How are they gonna learn to be tougher if they don’t face an occasional life or death situation.
By the way, the Patch should be out soon and fixes a BUNCh of problems folks have been asking for fixes to since the game released.

Personally, I just kill all the kids in every town I visit. They’re useless anyway AND it’s a lot of fun!
After having the game stick with a little kids voice whining away for autographs and so on, while working in the bar in Bowerstone, for about an hour, I really hope they don’t do this…

Actually, as I posted on X3F… I’ve never been able to kill the kids. This fix is supposed to make it so the Assassination Society won’t give you a quest to kill a kid. However, I have never been able to just outright kill a kid. So I wonder if this is more of a fix to a quest than anything else.
I tried two things. First, I broke into a house and killed the owner. That owner had a kid that I couldn’t kill. Therefore the house still had an “Unknown” resident and I couldn’t get a discount on the property purchase. Secondly, I tried to round up a whole bunch of kids at the gypsy camp and bring them to the Shadow Temple for sacrifice at the wheel. The children wouldn’t quick travel to the temple like adults will.
Lame… in a game that says you can be evil yet won’t let you kill kids.
Some of us couldn’t kill the children in the first place, welcome to our world of annoying voiced churls…

You could kill the children? I’m sure I recall trying to do so and being unable.
If anything this shows how pointless an act it is, so long as they don’t promote the game on its child killing abilities, it should make no difference to it’s quality.
To go and censor what has already been released now reeks of them giving into peer pressure, not to mention the feel of them robbing us of the act. I paid for the game in full, I wouldn’t expect content to be removed from the product.
