dear god this episode as kicking the ps3 ass… again
i got a ps3 myself and its not that freaking bad lol..
The hate being shown in the podcasts is becoming unbereavable. If you don’t like the ps3, just suck it, stick to the xbox360 and shut up. Shouldn’t press be neutral and not biased? Damn.
Hate? We talked about how we wanted the PS3 to survive? How is that hate? we talked about Valkyria Chronicles and Motorstorm 2… How is that hate? you should listen to it again.
How was this show bashing the PS3? I think Sony is shooting themselves in the foot with their console. I personally cant wait to have the black behemoth in my home. However I am not going to pay for a system that is not getting any exclusives that I want to play.
Sure I am one of those guys that shot all the damn frogs on MGS3 for that camo. I can even quote the battle with the ninja from MGS. I got every dogtag in MGS2. But I am not going to pay an arm and a leg for the system that has the next part in the series. Sure when I finally bring the powerhouse system into my home I will be picking up MGS4.
Call me whatever you want. But I made an educated decision in my choice of a console.
I listen to the blue show, I listen to the red show, I even listen to the pink show! I am no fan boy in anyway. I just want to play games. I honestly do not care if the PS3 has a blu-ray player. You want to know why the blu-ray format won that war? The Japanese porn market and Disney.
I have brought this up to a friend of mine who will defend the PS3 to the death! The fact that Sony took the risk of putting a blu-ray player into their system. What if the format tanked? You would have a system that would work better as a door stop than for playing movies.
I have ranted long enough… Call me an xbot or whatever. Im out.

Why do Doc, Dave and Lono spend so much time pointing out the PS3’s (obvious and irrefutable) shortcomings?
Well, I suppose some of it is bitterness. Bitterness that after they put together an fantastically entertaining product and distribute it at no charge whatsoever, some kid has the GALL to come around and invalidate the whole thing purely on the basis of a couple valid and arguable criticisms. Just a guess, though.
Great ‘cast, guys. As a JRPG fan, Valkyria Chronicles is making me sad that I don’t have a PS3. Why isn’t that thing selling? Install base? Might there be a 360 port in the future to help recoup the dev team’s losses?
Valkyria sold much better in Japan (77,000) during November than it did in the U.S. (33,000). Still, its pretty disappointing to see that the game hasn’t sold better. I will admit that I haven’t picked it up either, but I did recently purchase MotorStorm: Pacific Rift (currently Amazon’s deal of the day for $40).
