And the LittleBigPuns continue, but this one is sorta useful! Having spent most of the past 2 weeks or so on LittleBigPlanet, studying it religiously, messing with every nook and cranny and tool to the point of obsession, I think I’ve gathered a teeny weeny bit of expertise. Not that I’m being pretentious or anything.

I figured I’d try and create a great big one-off post about the game’s Create mode and then leave it at that. That would have followed after the jump if I hadn’t realized that such a post wouldn’t really work.

When I started working on this one-off post, I was thinking that once everybody had read how to use a Flipper Motion Piston they’d immediately become experts. Creativity doesn’t come to everybody instantly, and as LBP is never a fixed ‘game’ as such a simple one-off guide wouldn’t do the trick.

But, after passing the suggestion by community members, I’m starting a semi-regular LBP help column for all you lovely people to write to me about. Whether it’s to do with the Story mode, tips on what you could make with certain materials or how to even build complete contraptions, I’m on hand to help you with any of your LittleBigConcerns. Ahem.

Hopefully this column will prove to be a rousing success and I’ll be able to help 20 million community members with their LittleBigPlanet creation woes. Then again, this community doesn’t have 20 million members, and I’m not even sure the game has sold that many units. Still, it pays to be ambitious.
