Iron Chef cooks up some crap.

Gametrailers is a tremendous source for the latest and greatest game media floating around the Internet. The debut trailer for “Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine,” which is embedded after the jump, is a prime example.  It is probably the best game trailer I have ever seen. Actually, it wins the silver medal. Nothing could beat this gem.

Regardless, the video has that so-atrocious-it-is-awesome thing going for it. The game, which was developed by Black Lantern Studios, is already available for the DS. The Wii version is scheduled to release on Dec. 2. You know, just in case you want to add it to your holiday wish list. I am not a big fan of the show, but I do laugh when people initiate multiple staring contests and make over-the-top hand gestures.

That video must have set them back a few Lincolns. Did you notice the quick camera cuts, the abundant smoke, the dramatic music and the multi-colored stage lights? High quality stuff Destineer.

Embedded below is gameplay footage taken from the DS version.

I might make fun of kitchen-based simulations, but they seem to be quite popular. According to this Gamasutra article, Majesco’s “Cooking Mama” franchise sold 1.6 million copies in the U.S. through Jan. 30, 2008. That number accounted for Wii and DS titles.
