War World Demo. What demo?

Ubisoft has some ’splainin to do.  I just finished a 41 second demo for War World that leaves me wondering what exactly they were thinking at Ubi Central. Yeah, 41 seconds, you read that right. I love discovering new games in the XBLA, but frankly I wish I’d never heard of this lobotomy.

War World appears to be a mech fighting game where you get to pay 10 dollars for the privilege of finding out if this game is any good.  Not me.

On the closing screen it advertises more than 100 single player levels and “Lots of multiplayer maps” with the full version.

Hmmmmm.

So, why can’t I play this demo for more than 41 seconds (timed on a stop watch), before the game pops up a message saying I need to buy the full game.  YOU CAN’T EVEN USE THE FRICKIN’ WEAPONS THAT YOU PICK UP IN THE DEMO because “That feature is not available in the demo.”

WOW.

I dunno, but this stinks of a cover up.  What are they hiding behind this hilariously short demo?

Please don’t take my word for it.  Try the War World demo.  I’m begging you.

Trust me, it won’t take long.  (only about 41 seconds).

The game has 100 levels and it won’t let me play long enough to decide if I like it?

If you woke up this morning with the full version of this game on your Xbox, then yes.  You drank too much last night.
